Kuah Lodeh ke Lontong?



Tumiskan sedikit halia, bawang, bawang putih dan cili boh.
Masukkan sedikit ikan bilis yang telah dikisar.
Serai yang dititik.
Udang.
Tuang air.
Seterusnya empukkan karet.
Masukkan santan serta *sayur-sayuran lain beserta foochook, dried toufu dan suhun.
Serbuk kunyit dan garam.

*kentang yang telah digoreng/dilayukan, terung, kobis dan kacang panjang

Jika suka boleh tambah kepingan tempe goreng.


Grilled Eggplant with Tomato and Cheese



Eggplant (slice into 2" thick)
Put pasta sauce on top, you can add some minced meat and diced onion if you like
Grated parmesan cheese
Then grill in the oven for 4 - 5 minutes.


Pomegranate Salad



Just add every fresh vegie you love together with some pomegranate. Don't forget the dressing of your choice!

Salad Daun Kadok (Miang Kum)




The recipe:

A
2 shallots
1 stalk lemon grass
1 inch fresh ginger
½ inch galangal
a knob of dried prawn paste
1 tbsp dried shrimps
1 tbsp toasted shredded coconut
2 tbsp roasted peanuts

B
1 cup palm sugar
2 cups water

C
2 limes, diced
1 ½ inch young ginger, diced
2 shallots, diced
2 tbsp toasted shredded coconut
2 tbsp dried shrimps
2 tbsp fried peanuts
2 tsp chillies, cut
20 piper sarmentosum (daun kadok) leaves – lettuce or other salad leaves can be used as a substitute

Grind or pound ingredients A finely.
Transfer ground ingredients A to a pot, add B and bring to a boil.
Lower heat and simmer liquid until it is reduced to 1 cup. Allow this sauce to cool.
To serve, pour thick sauce into a serving bowl.
Arrange ingredients B separately in small bowls.
To eat, shape a piper sarmentosum leaf into a cone. Place one of each C ingredient into the cone and add half a teasp of sauce. Enjoy!!

Pomelo Salad (Dtam Somoh)



Bahan-bahan :-

Pomelo
Bawang putih (cincang)
Serai (hiris halus)
Cili padi (hiris halus)
Tomato (dipotong)
Kacang panjang (dipotong)
Daun sup (dipotong)
Daun bawang (dipotong)
Kacang (ditumbuk kasar)
Garam (atau sos ikan)
Gula

Boleh ditambah udang atau isi ayam jika suka.

Kerabu Ikan Bilis



Bahan-bahan (serves 2 - 3 people) :

1 genggam ikan bilis (digoreng)
½ batang serai (diricih halus)
½ bunga kantan (diricih halus)
1 ulas bawang besar (dihiris nipis - tapi tak nipis sangat la)
1 biji buah tomato (dipotong dadu)
3 - 4 cili padi
1 - 2 sudu besar perahan air limau
sedikit gula

Gaulkan semua bahan. Jika suka boleh tambah hirisan kasar daun sup atau daun bawang. Boleh juga tambah hirisan kobis atau mangga muda (ikut selera).

Bubur Lambuk



Bahan-bahan :

Bubur nasi
Tuangkan sedikit santan
Campurkan udang kering (ditumbuk kasar)
Udang hidup
Sedikit lada hitam (ditumbuk kasar)
Sedikit daun kunyit dan daun kadok (dihiris halus)

Umai (Hinava)



Bahan-bahan untuk sambalnya : cili, halia, garam, gula, kacang tanah dan air limau.

Jika di Sarawak, guna ikan empirang (kat Semenanjung tak tau lah apa namanya). Boleh juga di guna cencaru atau udang.

Terubuk Masin Bercili



Tumiskan cili dan bawang besar (dipotong dadu). Tambahkan sedikit air beserta sedikit sos cili dan gula. Kacau dan tuangkan ke atas kepingan terubuk masin yang siap digoreng.
